Mrs. Gail Frey
Dear Families,
The new school year is upon us, and we are excited about “Growing Together.” We have many new teachers this year, and we look forward to the excellence we are accustomed to here at Weaver Elementary.
Our mindset aligns with the Strategic Plan of the District, meaning we will:
Have a great attitude, reach for excellence, and always demonstrate integrity in all that we do.
We will let students know it is ok to make mistakes, as this is how we learn and grow. We will help them to see their potential.
This summer, the staff worked together on behavior strategies utilizing the book “Light up the Learning Brain.” We will work to help your child identify their feelings using characters from the book; Tiger, Turtle, Porcupine, and Chameleon will help your child work through their feelings so they can get back to learning quickly and resourcefully. We will be sending more information about how you can help at home when school begins.
We are looking for volunteers this year and will have a sign-up area at orientation, in the lobby, for you to identify where you would like to assist. We are looking forward to another amazing year.

Mrs. Tracey Reeves
I’m Tracey Reeves, the Assistant Principal at Weaver Elementary. I want to help grow the fun and supportive environment that is already in place where students can learn and grow.
I began my journey in education with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State University where I also earned my Master of Science in Instructional Leadership. I’ve had the chance to work as a classroom teacher and instructional coach before stepping into this role. I love collaborating with teachers, students, and families to make our school a great place for everyone.
I’m passionate about finding new ways to engage students and support their learning needs. I believe that when we work together we will always be able to find a solution.
I’m excited to continue my journey at Weaver Elementary and can’t wait to see what we can achieve together!
